Single-Cell Lithium-Ion / Lithium-Polymer Battery Protection IC for Overcharge, Overdischarge and Overcurrent Safety
The DW06D is a compact battery protection IC designed to safeguard single-cell lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries from common fault conditions such as overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent. This protection device is widely used in battery packs for portable electronics where safe charging and discharging are critical for maintaining battery health and system reliability. Its small SOT-23-6 package allows easy integration into space-constrained battery protection circuits.
The IC operates by continuously monitoring the battery voltage and discharge current through external MOSFETs. When abnormal conditions are detected, the DW06D quickly disconnects the load or charger to prevent damage to the battery pack.
