Cygbot CygLiDAR D2 – Ultra-Durable Solid-State ToF Sensor for 2D & 3D Mapping

The Cygbot CygLiDAR D2 is a compact, solid-state dual-mode Time-of-Flight (ToF) LiDAR sensor built for indoor robotics, drones, AMRs, and industrial automation. With no moving parts, the D2 delivers unmatched durability and stability in vibration-prone or harsh environments while remaining lightweight at just 31 g. Capable of generating both 2D range maps and 3D point cloud data, it provides developers with a versatile sensing solution for navigation, obstacle detection, and environment mapping.

The CygLiDAR D2 features a 120 horizontal field of view in both modes and a 65 vertical FOV in 3D mode, ensuring wide-area coverage. In 2D mode, it supports a detection range of 200 mm to 7 m with 0.75 angular resolution at up to 15–20 Hz frame rates. In 3D DRM (Dynamic Range Mode), it captures data at 160×60 resolution, offering a range of 50 mm to 2 m with depth accuracy of 1%. Data communication is handled via UART (3.3V TTL, up to 3 Mbps), and a USB-to-UART converter with cable is included for seamless PC connectivity. Developers can visualize and evaluate real-time data using the CygLiDAR Viewer software.
