Precision 16-Bit Analog-to-Digital Converter with I2C Interface and Programmable Gain for High-Accuracy Sensor Measurements

The ADS1112IDGSR is a high-precision 16-bit analog-to-digital converter designed for accurate measurement of low-level analog signals in embedded and industrial electronics. Manufactured by Texas Instruments, this device features continuous self-calibration to maintain measurement accuracy over time and temperature variations. The integrated 2.048 V voltage reference provides a differential input range of +-2.048 V, simplifying circuit design and reducing the need for external precision components.

With support for two differential inputs or three single-ended channels, the ADS1112 offers flexible signal measurement options for sensor interfaces and instrumentation systems. The built-in programmable gain amplifier (PGA) supports gains up to 8, allowing precise measurement of small sensor signals. An I2C-compatible interface enables easy integration with microcontrollers, while selectable I2C addresses allow multiple devices to share the same bus. Its low power operation and automatic power-down in single-conversion mode make it suitable for battery-powered devices and portable instrumentation.

Key Features

  • 16-Bit High-Resolution ADC – Accurate conversion for precision sensor and measurement systems.
  • Flexible Input Configuration – Supports 2 differential inputs or 3 single-ended channels.
  • Integrated Voltage Reference – Built-in 2.048 V reference simplifies circuit design.
  • Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA) – Adjustable gain up to 8xfor small signal amplification.
