The Adafruit Non-Latching Mini Relay FeatherWing adds compact power-switching capability to your Feather projects, allowing you to safely control lamps, fans, solenoids, and other small appliances that run on AC or DC power. Designed as a stackable Feather add-on, this Wing integrates seamlessly with any Feather board using stacking or female headers, giving you the ability to toggle external devices with ease. This relay FeatherWing features a non-latching relay that uses a single SET pin for activation. By default, the COM pin is mechanically connected to the NC pin. When the relay is triggered, COM switches to connect with the NO pin, while an onboard red LED lights up to indicate activation. It draws about 50mA to hold the relay in the active state. If power is lost, the relay automatically returns to its default open position. While compact, this relay is best suited for low-power applications (up to 60W). For heavier loads, Adafruit recommends their Power Relay FeatherWing, which can handle up to 1200W devices.
