The Adafruit DC & Stepper Motor Bonnet for Raspberry Pi is a fully assembled, plug-and-play add-on designed to make motor control easy for your robotics and motion projects. Based on the popular DC & Stepper Motor HAT, this Bonnet version is smaller, more compact, and designed for seamless use with any Raspberry Pi with a 2x20 GPIO header. With onboard TB6612 MOSFET drivers, it can control up to 4 DC motors or 2 stepper motors, offering precise PWM speed and direction control through I2C—using only two pins (SDA & SCL).

Ideal for makers, students, and engineers, this Bonnet requires no soldering and comes pre-assembled with terminal blocks and a 2x20 header. It supports stacking via PHAT Stackers, enabling you to connect up to 32 Motor Bonnets for massive projects controlling up to 128 DC motors or 64 steppers. With built-in polarity protection, thermal shutdown safety, and flyback diodes, it ensures reliable and safe operation for all your motion-based applications.
