The 7Semi SHT45 Digital Humidity and Temperature Sensor Probe is built for applications that demand accurate, repeatable environmental data over long periods of use. Using a capacitive polymer sensing element and a 16-bit digital output, the probe measures temperature with an accuracy of +/-0.1 C and relative humidity with an accuracy of +/-1.0% RH. The I2C interface allows straightforward connection to microcontrollers and development boards, making it a practical choice for engineers building climate-monitoring systems, IoT devices, and automated control setups.

Housed in a ventilated stainless-steel probe and fitted with a 1-metre cable, this sensor is well-suited for remote installations where the main controller needs to be kept away from the sensing point. It covers a wide operating range of -40 C to +125 C and 0% to 100% RH, making it suitable for HVAC systems, greenhouses, weather stations, cold storage units, and indoor air-quality monitoring. For best long-term accuracy, the sensor should ideally be operated within 5 C to 60 C and 20% RH to 80% RH, since extended exposure to extreme humidity levels may cause a temporary offset in the RH reading.
