BME690 4-in-1 Metal Environmental Probe for VOC, Temperature, Humidity, and Barometric Pressure Monitoring
The 7Semi BME690 Environmental Sensor Probe integrates Bosch Sensortec's BME690 4-in-1 environmental sensor into a rugged metal probe for measuring temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, and gas resistance. The integrated gas-sensing element responds to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Volatile Sulfur Compounds (VSCs), and other gases, allowing the probe to support indoor air-quality and environmental-monitoring applications alongside conventional weather measurements.
The probe communicates through I2C at address 0x76 and includes a 1 m cable for convenient integration with remote or enclosed sensing installations. It operates from a 3.3V supply and supports configurable oversampling, IIR filtering, heater profiles, and measurement modes. Raw gas-resistance measurements can be processed using Bosch BSEC software to generate additional outputs such as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) index, bVOC equivalent, and CO₂-equivalent values for supported applications.
