Description

The Original FT232RL onboard is a versatile board that supports Mac, Linux, Android, WinCE, Windows 7/8/8.1/10. It features 3 power modes, including a 5V output, 3.3V output, or the option to be powered by a target board (3.3V-5V). The board also includes 3 LEDs (TXD LED, RXD LED, POWER LED) and functional pins such as TXD, RXD, RTS#, CTS# which are connected to the onboard soldered pinheaders. Additionally, the other pins are accessible on the drill holes, which come with separate pinheaders for easy connection to the user's system. The pitch is compatible with breadboards.

How to Use
In the case of working with a MCU:
 
  1. VCCIO - 3.3V or 5V output (the module is powered from USB, onboard jumper should be shorted to 3.3V or 5V)
  2. GND - GND
  3. TXD - MCU.RX (signal direction: MCU.RX << FT232 << PC.TX)
  4. RXD - MCU.TX (signal direction: MCU.TX >> FT232 >> PC.RX)
  5. RTS - MCU.CTS (signal direction: MCU.CTS << FT232 << PC.RTS)
  6. CTS - MCU.RTS (signal direction: MCU.RTS >> FT232 >> PC.CTS)
