The TS3A27518E is a bidirectional, 6-channel, 1:2 multiplexer-demultiplexer that operates between 1.65 and 3.6 volts. This device is capable of handling both digital and analog signals and transmitting signals up to VCC in either way. The TS3A27518E includes two control pins, each of which controls three 1:2 muxes at the same time, as well as an enable pin that turns all outputs to high impedance. The control pins work with 1.8 V logic thresholds and are backward compatible with 2.5 V and 3.3 V logic thresholds. Because the SDIO interface consists of six bits (CMD, CLK, and Data[0:3]), the TS3A27518E enables any SD, SDIO, and multimedia card host controllers to expand to many cards or peripherals. This device will support additional 6-bit interfaces, including qSPI. The TS3A27518E includes two control pins, giving the user more freedom. For example, the capacity to combine two different audio-video streams in equipment such as an LCD television, an LCD monitor, or a notebook docking station.
