The TPS62060DSGR is a compact, high-efficiency 1.6A synchronous step-down (buck) DC-DC converter designed for low-voltage power regulation in portable, battery-powered, and embedded systems. Operating with an input voltage range of 2.7V to 6V, this converter is ideal for use with single-cell Li-Ion batteries, 3.3V, and 5V system supply rails. With a fixed 3MHz switching frequency, the device enables the use of ultra-small inductors and capacitors, providing a highly compact and cost-effective power solution. The TPS62060 integrates a power save mode (PSM) for high efficiency at light-load conditions and features an optimized control loop for low output voltage ripple. For low-noise applications, the converter can be configured into fixed-frequency PWM mode by pulling the MODE pin high. In shutdown mode, current consumption drops to less than 1uA, and an internal discharge circuit ensures the output capacitor safely discharges to ground. Optimized for minimal external components, the device operates seamlessly with a 1uH inductor and 10uF output capacitor, ensuring fast transient response and excellent voltage regulation.
