The TPS54620RHLR from Texas Instruments is a high-performance 6A synchronous step-down (buck) converter designed for compact, high-efficiency power solutions in industrial, communication, and embedded applications. Housed in a thermally enhanced 3.5mmx3.5mm VFQFN-14 package, this converter integrates 26mΩ (high-side) and 19mΩ (low-side) MOSFETs to achieve exceptional power density and low conduction losses. Operating from a 1.6V to 17V split power rail, the TPS54620 delivers high efficiency across a wide input range. Its current-mode control architecture simplifies design by reducing external component count and enabling stable, fast transient response. With an adjustable switching frequency between 200kHz and 1.6MHz, it offers design flexibility to balance efficiency and size.
