Precision Voltage Supervisor IC with 3.3V Threshold and Reset Timer for Microcontroller Power Monitoring

The TPS3809K33DBVR is a compact voltage supervisor designed to provide reliable power monitoring and reset control for processor and DSP-based systems. Developed by Texas Instruments, this device ensures proper system initialization by monitoring the supply voltage and generating a reset signal whenever the supply drops below the specified threshold.

During power-up, the device asserts the RESET output once the supply voltage rises above approximately 1.1 V and keeps the system in reset until the monitored voltage exceeds the defined threshold. After the supply voltage stabilises above the threshold, an internal delay timer of approximately 200 ms ensures sufficient time for the system to initialise before releasing the reset signal. If the supply voltage falls below the threshold during operation, the supervisor immediately asserts the reset output again, protecting the system from unstable power conditions. The TPS3809K33DBVR requires no external components and is ideal for compact embedded designs.
