The TLV62569DBVR from Texas Instruments is a compact, high-efficiency 2A synchronous step-down (buck) DC-DC converter designed for modern portable and industrial systems requiring efficient power regulation in limited board space. It operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V input range and delivers an adjustable output voltage from 0.6V up to VIN, making it ideal for systems powered by single-cell Li-Ion batteries or 5V rails. Featuring low RDS(ON) switches (100mΩ / 60mΩ) and a 1.5MHz switching frequency, the TLV62569 ensures high efficiency (up to 95%) and supports the use of small external components for compact designs. At medium to heavy loads, it runs in PWM mode, while at light loads, it automatically enters Power Save Mode (PSM) to maintain high efficiency. With a quiescent current of just 35µA, it’s perfectly suited for battery-powered applications. The device also includes built-in protections, such as overcurrent protection (OCP), thermal shutdown (TSD), and an internal soft-start circuit that limits inrush current during startup. A Power Good (PG) output is provided for system monitoring.
