TLV62566DBVR – 1.5A High-Efficiency Step-Down Converter (Buck Regulator)

The TLV62566DBVR from Texas Instruments is a synchronous step-down DC-DC converter designed for compact, high-efficiency power regulation in portable and embedded systems. Operating from a 2.7V to 5.5V input range, it can deliver up to 1.5A output current with a typical switching frequency of 1.5MHz, ensuring minimal external components and excellent transient response.

Its integrated adaptive on-time current control provides efficient regulation across varying loads. The Power Save Mode enhances light-load efficiency with an ultra-low 50μA quiescent current, while built-in overcurrent, thermal shutdown, and soft-start (250us) features ensure robust operation. The device also includes a Power Good (PG) signal for reliable system sequencing. Ideal for battery-powered devices, portable instruments, modems, HDDs, and tablets, the TLV62566DBVR offers high efficiency (up to 95%) in a compact SOT-23-5 package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.
