Description

The STM8S105x4/6 access line 8-bit microcontrollers have flash program memory ranging from 16 to 32 Kbytes with an inbuilt true data EEPROM. The STM8S microcontroller family reference manual (RM0016) describes the devices in this family as medium-density. All devices in the STM8S105x4/6 access series offer the following advantages: lower system costs, improved performance and resilience, shorter development cycles, and longer product life. The system cost is decreased due to an integrated real data EEPROM with up to 300,000 write/erase cycles and a high level of system integration with internal clock oscillators, watchdog, and brownout reset.

A 16 MHz CPU clock frequency ensures device performance, as do additional features such as strong I/O, independent watchdogs (with their own clock source), and a clock security mechanism. Short development cycles are ensured by application scalability over a common family product architecture with comparable pinout, memory map, and modular peripherals. The STM8S series ensures product longevity thanks to their sophisticated core, which is manufactured using cutting-edge technology for applications with an operating voltage of 2.95 V to 5.5 V.
