Description

STM8L051F3 is a part of the STM8L ultra-low-power 8-bit family.

STM8L051F3 includes an updated STM8 CPU core that increases processing power (up to 16 MIPS at 16 MHz) while retaining the benefits of a CISC design, such as greater code density, a 24-bit linear addressing space, and an optimized architecture for low-power operations.

The STM8L051F3 MCU has an inbuilt debug module with a hardware interface (SWIM), which enables non-intrusive In-Application debugging and quick Flash programming. It includes an inbuilt data EEPROM as well as low-power, low-voltage program Flash memory powered by a single source.

The device has a wide range of upgraded I/Os and peripherals, including a 12-bit ADC, a real-time clock, two 16-bit timers, one 8-bit timer, and standard communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and USART.

The peripheral set's modular design enables this device to have the same peripherals as other ST microcontroller families, including 32-bit families. This simplifies any move to a different family, which is further aided by the usage of a standard set of development tools.
