The STM32L431xx microcontrollers are designed for ultra-low-power applications and are based on the high-performance Arm Cortex-M4 32-bit RISC core, capable of operating at up to 80 MHz. The Cortex-M4 core features a Floating Point Unit (FPU) with single-precision support for Arm data-processing instructions and data types, as well as DSP instructions and a Memory Protection Unit (MPU) for enhanced application security.
These microcontrollers also boast high-speed memories, including Flash memory of up to 256 Kbytes and 64 Kbytes of SRAM. They also feature a Quad SPI flash memories interface, available on all packages, and a wide range of enhanced I/Os and peripherals connected to two APB buses, two AHB buses, and a 32-bit multi-AHB bus matrix for versatile connectivity options.
Additionally, the STM32L431xx devices come with multiple protection mechanisms for embedded Flash memory and SRAM, including readout protection, write protection, proprietary code readout protection, and Firewall, ensuring robust security for sensitive data and code. With their ultra-low-power design, high-performance Cortex-M4 core, extensive memory options, and advanced security features, the STM32L431xx microcontrollers are ideal for a wide range of power-efficient applications requiring high performance and data security.
