The SparkFun RGB LED Breakout – WS2812B (With Headers) is a simple and reliable solution for adding vibrant, addressable RGB lighting to embedded and electronics projects. Based on the widely used WS2812B LED, this breakout integrates a full-colour RGB LED and its controller into a single 4-pin package, reducing wiring complexity and setup time. With pre-soldered right-angle headers, the board is ready for immediate use on a breadboard or in compact enclosures, making it ideal for quick prototyping, indicators, visual feedback, and decorative lighting.

Each WS2812B LED can be individually controlled using a single data line, allowing precise colour and brightness control without additional driver hardware. Improved over older 6-pin variants, the WS2812B offers a cleaner pinout and better integration. The wide viewing angle and balanced brightness levels across red, green, and blue channels ensure clear visibility in a variety of lighting conditions, whether used as a status indicator or as part of a larger LED chain.
