The Garmin LIDAR-Lite v3HP is a compact, lightweight, and durable optical distance measurement sensor engineered for high-performance applications such as drones, robotics, and unmanned vehicles. Housed in an IPX7-rated enclosure, it offers robust protection for use in outdoor and industrial environments. This upgraded version builds on the proven LIDAR-Lite v3 design, delivering faster sampling rates (1kHz) and improved power efficiency, consuming 40mA less current than the previous model.

With a measurement range of 1m to 40m, a resolution of 1 cm, and a typical accuracy of 2.5 cm at distances 2m, the v3HP provides precise ranging in real-time applications. The integrated 905nm single-stripe laser transmitter (1.3W peak power) ensures reliable operation, while the I2C and PWM interfaces make it easy to integrate into embedded systems. Its user-configurable settings allow adjustment of accuracy, range, and measurement time to best suit the application, making it one of the most flexible sensors available for UAVs, robots, and autonomous systems.
