Description

The SN74CBTLV3257 is a 4-bit, 1-of-2 high-speed FET multiplexer/demultiplexer. The switch's low on-state resistance enables for connections with minimal propagation latency. The select (S) input regulates data flow. When the output-enable (OE) input is high, the FET multiplexers and demultiplexers are turned off. This device is completely specified for partial-power-down applications that use Ioff. When the gadget is turned off, the Ioff feature prevents dangerous electricity from flowing back through it. The device is isolated while powered off. To assure the high impedance state during power up or power down, OE should be coupled to VCC using a pullup resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is set by the driver's current-sinking capabilities.
