Description

The AUP family is TI's leading solution for the industry's low-power requirements in battery-powered portable applications. This series ensures very low static and dynamic power consumption throughout the VCC range of 0.8 V to 3.6 V, resulting in longer battery life. This product also has good signal integrity (see AUP: The Lowest-Power Family and good Signal Integrity). This bus buffer gate is a single-line driver with three output states. The output is turned off when the output-enable (OE) input is low. This device includes the input-disable capability, which allows for floating input signals. To maintain the high-impedance condition during power up or power down, connect OE to GND via a pulldown resistor; the minimum value of the resistor is specified by the driver's current-sourcing capabilities.
The NanoStar™ package technique revolutionizes IC packaging by utilizing the die as a package. This device is completely specified for partial-power-down applications that use Ioff. The Ioff circuitry blocks the outputs when the device is turned off. This prevents current backflow into the gadget, protecting it from damage.
