RS485 PAR Sensor for Accurate Light Measurement in Plant Growth Monitoring: Measure 400–700nm spectral radiation with high stability and industrial reliability.
The RS485 Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) Sensor measures the quantity of light that plants can absorb during photosynthesis. It functions in the 400-700nm spectral band, which corresponds to the light required for plant growth. The sensor turns sunlight into a voltage signal that is directly proportional to the intensity of the incident radiation, with sensitivity determined by the cosine of the light's angle of incidence. This high-precision sensor is outfitted with a specially treated dust cover to avoid environmental influence and ensure accurate measurements. The sensor communicates with Modbus-RTU over RS485 and functions within a wide DC voltage range of 5-30V, making it compatible with a variety of platforms, including Arduino.
Wide Voltage Range and Easy Integration
The sensor may be integrated into a variety of systems because it runs on a DC power supply that ranges from 5 to 30V. Its capability for RS485 connection via the widely used Modbus-RTU protocol makes integrating it with Arduino and other comparable platforms for data collection straightforward.
High Precision and Reliability
The sensor employs high-precision photoelectric components with broad spectrum absorption, resulting in precise readings of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) in the 400-700nm region. Additionally, the sensor's cosine corrector ensures an accurate response to varied light angles, which is critical for precise environmental monitoring.
Durable and Weather-Resistant
The sensor, which has a metal aluminum cover and an IP67 rating for dust and water protection, is extremely durable and appropriate for usage in tough outdoor situations. The specifically prepared dust cover promotes long-term stability by reducing the impacts of environmental pollution.
