The MAX3051ESA+T is a low-power CAN transceiver IC designed to interface CAN protocol controllers with the physical bus in industrial and embedded systems. Operating from a single 3.3V supply, it provides reliable differential transmit and receive capabilities, enabling efficient communication over Controller Area Network (CAN) buses. With support for data rates up to 1 Mbps, it is suitable for high-speed networking in non-automotive applications where full ISO fault protection is not required.

This device offers multiple operating modes including high-speed, slope-control, standby, and shutdown, allowing designers to optimise performance and power consumption based on system requirements. The programmable slew-rate control helps reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI), making it ideal for use with unshielded cables in electrically noisy environments.
