LM2776DBVR – Regulated Switched Capacitor Inverter (−VOUT = −VIN) | Texas Instruments

The LM2776DBVR from Texas Instruments is a regulated switched-capacitor inverter that efficiently generates a negative voltage from a positive supply. Operating from 2.7V to 5.5V input, it delivers a regulated −VIN output capable of up to 200mA output current, making it ideal for analog and mixed-signal circuits requiring negative rails.

Featuring low output noise and ripple (15mV typical), the LM2776 integrates a low-noise linear regulator and internal charge pump MOSFETs, eliminating the need for inductors. It includes thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, and true shutdown, ensuring safe operation in compact portable devices.

Applications

  • Negative voltage generation for op-amps and analog circuits
  • Data acquisition and instrumentation systems
  • Portable medical and measurement devices
  • LCD bias and reference voltage supplies
  • Mixed-signal and sensor interface circuits
