Description

An advanced industrial-grade RS485 photoelectric isolation repeater, designed to provide high-performance conversion from one-way RS485 to another one-way RS485. This repeater is fully compatible with the EIA/TIA RS485 standard and offers exceptional features such as asynchronous half-duplex, two-way communication, and seamless transparent data transmission. By incorporating RS485 signal amplification, it enables the extension of bus network communication distance to a remarkable 1200 meters at a baud rate of 9600bps.

With support for up to 128 nodes (485 devices), this repeater offers flexible connectivity options. The branch length between nodes should not exceed 10 meters, while the maximum bus length is limited to 1200 meters. The repeater adopts a hand-in-hand bus connection mode between nodes, strictly prohibiting fork and star connections.

Connection Options for the Industrial Grade RS485 Repeater:

1. Single Repeater: For point-to-point connections, this configuration allows you to connect one 485 output device, extending the communication distance to 1200 meters. For point-to-multipoint setups, it can connect up to thirty-two 485 output devices, with the distance between adjacent 485 devices not exceeding 10 meters. The total bus length can be extended up to 1200 meters.

2. Parallel Connection: This repeater supports the parallel connection of up to sixteen 485 repeaters to a single 485 input device, enabling a total of 128 devices to be connected simultaneously.

3. Cascade (Tree Topology): By connecting numerous 485 repeaters in a cascading manner, the RS485 communication distance can be extended indefinitely. This configuration also supports a total of 128 devices.

The module is specifically designed for industrial automation communication, incorporating an industrial-grade superpower anti-jamming chip. This chip provides intelligent circuit discrimination and automatic sensing of data flow direction, ensuring stable signals and reliable data communication. It effectively mitigates the issue of RS485 transmission and reception conversion delays. Moreover, the repeater includes a built-in DC-DC voltage-stabilized source isolation module with an isolation voltage of 1500V. Additionally, the optocoupler isolates the RS485 master-slave network, guaranteeing that data communication remains unaffected by ground loops and common-mode voltage differences. The repeater also features TVS transient suppression protection and self-recovery fuse current limiting protection. The power circuit is designed to be anti-reverse, making it suitable for various industrial environments.

The repeater provides clear indications of data transmission through status indicator lights. The light remains steady when data is not being transmitted and blinks during data transmission.
