The Grove – Ultrasonic Ranger is a reliable and easy-to-use distance measurement module designed for robotics, automation, and smart sensing applications. Using ultrasonic wave reflection, this sensor accurately measures distances from 3 cm to 350 cm with an impressive 2 mm accuracy. It integrates both an ultrasonic transmitter and receiver, functioning as a complete ultrasonic transceiver ideal for proximity detection, obstacle avoidance, and range-finding tasks.

Operating on 3.2V–5.2V, the sensor is fully compatible with both 3.3V and 5V systems, making it easy to connect directly to microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other development platforms. Its unique design saves I/O resources by requiring only one I/O pin for both transmit and receive, thanks to time-division multiplexing. Fully supported by the Grove ecosystem, the module offers true plug-and-play convenience, complemented by extensive documentation, Arduino libraries, Python support, and Codecraft integration.
