The MIKROE-798 is EasyPIC v7 Development Board for 370+ Microchip PIC MCUs in DIP packaging. Board comes with PIC18F45K22 device. It features USB 2.0 programmer/debugger and over 17 essential modules necessary in development.
Board Features
Dual Power Supply
Board is equipped with power supply unit capable of supporting both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers. Board can be powered over USB cable, or external adapter connectors.
Programmer USB connector
Programmer USB connector is connected to on-board mikroProg, but can also be used to power the board, when the J6 jumper in the Power Supply section is in the USB position.
mikroProg
On-board mikroProg In-Circuit Debugger and programmer is supports over 387 microcontrollers from Microchip.
ICD2/ICD3 connector
If you need to use other external programmer with EasyPIC v7, we have provided the ICD2/ICD3 compatible connector, so you can override the on-board mikroProg.
USB connector
Board provides USB-B connector necessary for writting applications that use USB communication. Connector can be routed to either PORTC or PORTA, depending on the target microcontroller.
mikroBUS socket (2)
EasyPIC v7 is the only board in the world to provide two mikroBUS sockets for mikroElektronika Click Boards. mikroBUS provides simple and effective Plug-and-Play connectivity solution.
Reset Button
High quality reset button with surrounding reset circuitry ensures stable reset operation.
SMD LEDs
Each Input/Output PORT group contains red SMD LEDs with low current consumption of only 1mA. Board contains total of 36 LEDs for PORT pins.
RS-232 Connector
You can implement UART communication through RS-232 connector provided on the board.
USB-UART Connector
FTDI chip allows your EasyPIC v7 board to be connected with a PC through USB cable over UART connection.
4-digit 7-seg display
Driving 7-segment displays is fun! EasyPIC v7 provides 4-digit display for your applications.
LCD 2x16 characters
Board is equipped with LCD 2x16 connector which allows you to connect LCD 2x16 display and place it securely using plastic distancer, specially designed for this purpose.
Piezo Buzzer
With piezo buzzer you can debug your applications, or have audio signalization feature. It can be connected to two digital output pins, one of which is the output of PWM module.
DS1820 Temp Sensor
Board supports Dallas DS1820 One-Wire digital temperature sensor. You can measure temperatures from -55C to +125C (-67F to +257F), with 0.5C accuracy.
LM35 Temp Sensor
The LM35 is a low-cost precision integrated-circuit analog temperature sensor. It can measure temeperatures from -55C to +150C with 0.25C accuracy at room temperatures.
PIC18F45K22
With just enough RAM and Flash, PIC18F45K22 microcontroller will provide you with enough power for most of your projects.
Touch Panel Controller
Touch panel controller with connector is provided for analog resistive touch panels attached to the GLCD 128x64 to form GLCD Touch screen.
Programming
mikroProg is a fast USB 2.0 programmer with mikroICD hardware In-Circuit Debugger. Smart engineering allows mikroProg to support PIC10, PIC12, PIC16F, PIC16 Enhanced, PIC18F, PIC18FJ and PIC18FK devices in a single programmer! It supports over 387 microcontrollers from Microchip.
The mikroICD debugger enables you to execute your program on the host PIC microcontroller and view variable values, Special Function Registers (SFR), RAM, CODE and EEPROM memory along with the code execution on hardware.
New Development Experience
EasyPIC v7 Modules
External ICD2
ICD2 connector enables users to work with other programmers.
UART RS-232
Write UART applications for laptops too. Besides RS-232, we also added USB-UART.
GLCD/LCD
GLCD 128x64 and LCD 2x16 character displays are now closer together.
Digits Display
4 digit 7 segment display is now a part of EasyPIC v7.
Port Headers
Another row of PORT headers available on the left side. Connectivity at its best.
GND
Added three additional GND pins for easier access of your oscilloscope probes.
MIKROBUS SOCKETS
With two mikroBUS sockets you can add dozens of new functionality to your board with minimum hardware adjustments.
