CDCI6214RGER Ultra-Low Jitter 1:4 Clock Buffer for High-Speed Digital Systems

The CDCI6214RGER is an ultra-low jitter CMOS clock buffer from Texas Instruments, designed to distribute a single clock source to multiple loads with excellent signal integrity. Featuring a 1-to-4 clock fan-out architecture, this device is optimised for applications where low additive jitter and precise timing alignment are critical, such as FPGA clocking, high-speed serial links, networking equipment, and data acquisition systems. Its internal architecture minimises phase noise while maintaining clean edge transitions across all outputs.

Housed in a compact 16-pin QFN (RGE) package, the CDCI6214RGER supports space-constrained PCB designs and high-density layouts. It operates from a single low-voltage supply, making it suitable for modern digital platforms. Supplied in tape-and-reel packaging, the device is fully compatible with automated SMT assembly and lead-free reflow soldering. With RoHS and EU REACH compliance, it meets current environmental and manufacturing requirements for volume production.

Key Features

  • 1-to-4 Clock Buffer: Distributes one input clock to four low-skew outputs
  • Ultra-Low Additive Jitter: Preserves signal integrity in high-speed designs
  • Low Skew Outputs: Ensures tight timing alignment across clock domains
  • Single-Supply Operation: Suitable for low-voltage digital systems
  • CMOS Output Levels: Compatible with common logic families
  • Compact QFN Package: Saves PCB space in dense layouts
  • SMT Ready: Tape-and-reel packaging for automated assembly
  • Environmental Compliance: Pb-free, RoHS, and EU REACH compliant

Applications

  • FPGA and ASIC clock distribution
  • High-speed serial interfaces
  • Networking and communication equipment
  • Data converters and measurement systems
  • Industrial and embedded timing circuits
