The B-G431B-ESC1 Discovery Kit is a full-featured electronic speed controller built around the STM32G431CB Arm® Cortex®-M4 microcontroller, designed to deliver optimal performance in brushless motor applications. Capable of both sensorless field-oriented control (FOC) and 6-step motor control, this ESC supports precise speed regulation and active braking—making it ideal for high-demand drone and robotics applications. With onboard support for PWM, CAN, and UART communication, it seamlessly integrates into flight control systems and autonomous platforms.
The power stage is engineered using STL180N6F7 STripFET™ F7 MOSFETs and the L6387 high-voltage gate driver, delivering up to 40 A peak current with air-forced cooling. This 3-phase ESC is compatible with BLDC and PMSM motors, supporting both sensorless and sensor-based operation (Hall/encoder). It includes a detachable ST-LINK/V2-1 debugger, integrated protection features, and a 5V BEC for powering external boards like FCUs. The compact, lightweight design and high-efficiency thermal architecture make it perfect for FPV drones, UAVs, R/C cars, boats, and prosumer drones with up to 6S LiPo battery support.
