The AP64350SP-13 is a highly efficient 3.5A synchronous buck DC-DC converter engineered for superior performance, low EMI, and minimal quiescent current. With a wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 40V, this regulator is ideal for industrial, automotive, and communication systems requiring reliable step-down conversion from unregulated power sources. The device integrates high-side (75mΩ) and low-side (45mΩ) power MOSFETs to achieve outstanding efficiency and thermal performance in a compact design. Employing a peak current mode control architecture, the AP64350SP simplifies implementation and minimizes external component requirements. It features programmable switching frequency and external clock synchronization from 100kHz to 2.2MHz, offering flexibility to optimize system efficiency or component size. To further reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI), the AP64350SP incorporates a proprietary gate driver scheme that suppresses switching node ringing and Frequency Spread Spectrum (FSS) with +-6% jitter, effectively dispersing switching energy across a wider frequency band. The regulator achieves exceptional light-load efficiency with its 22uA quiescent current (PFM mode) and supports a Low-Dropout (LDO) mode for near 100% duty cycle operation. Comprehensive protection circuitry—including undervoltage lockout (UVLO), output overvoltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limit, and thermal shutdown—ensures robust and reliable system performance.
