The Adafruit DC & Stepper Motor HAT for Raspberry Pi – Mini Kit is a versatile add-on board designed to bring reliable motor control to your Raspberry Pi robotics and motion projects. Powered by TB6612 MOSFET drivers, this HAT can control up to 4 DC motors or 2 stepper motors with full PWM speed control. It communicates over I2C, requiring only two pins (SDA & SCL), leaving the rest of your GPIO pins free for sensors and peripherals. Compatible with all Raspberry Pi boards with a 2x20 GPIO header, this HAT is fully assembled and tested for plug-and-play use—no soldering required. With built-in protection, a polarity-safe power connection, and even a small prototyping area, it’s the ideal solution for robotics, automation, and motion-based Raspberry Pi projects.
