Real Time Clock (RTC) Breakout: A Real Time Clock (RTC) Breakout is a type of hardware device that provides accurate and reliable timekeeping for electronic systems. It typically consists of a small printed circuit board that contains a clock chip, a battery backup, and one or more pins or connectors that can be used to connect to a microcontroller or other device. The clock chip is designed to maintain accurate timekeeping even when power is removed from the system, thanks to the battery backup. RTC Breakout boards are commonly used in embedded systems, data loggers, and other electronic devices that require accurate timekeeping. They can also be used in conjunction with other sensors to enable precise timing and scheduling of system events. RTC Breakout boards are a cost-effective and efficient solution for accurate timekeeping, and are widely available in the market today.
