Description

This is breakout board integrates Hall Effect based linear ACS712ELCTR-20A-T current sensor and provides a precise current measurement for both AC and DC signals. The ACS712ELCTR-20A-T outputs an analog voltage output signal that varies linearly with sensed current. The breakout board requires a 5VDC power supply. The advantage of using a Hall effect sensor is that the circuit being sensed and the circuit reading the sensor are electrically isolated.

Please Note: Although the chip itself is rated for up to 2.1kV (RMS) of isolation, the board has not been designed for such high voltage applications.

ACS712 Breakout Pins
  • VCC - 5V power supply

The ACS712 20A Hall-Effect current sensor breakout with flap cover connector integrates the ACS712ELCTR-20A-T IC, which is a high-performance current sensor IC designed for accurate and reliable current sensing applications. The sensor breakout is capable of measuring up to 20 amps of current with an accuracy of +-1.5%, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, including motor control, power management, and energy monitoring. The sensor uses the Hall-Effect principle to generate a voltage across a conductor when a magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the current flow, which is then amplified by the ACS712ELCTR-20A-T IC. The IC also features a low-offset, low-drift, and high-bandwidth, ensuring accurate and stable measurements over time. The flap cover connector makes it easy to connect and disconnect the sensor from the circuit, and it also protects the sensor from dust and other environmental contaminants.

The ACS712 20A Hall-Effect current sensor breakout with flap cover connector integrated with the ACS712ELCTR-20A-T IC is a highly versatile and reliable sensor that is suitable for a wide range of current sensing applications.

ACS712 20A Hall-Effect Current Sensor Breakout Dimensions

A Hall-Effect current sensor breakout is a type of sensor that is used to measure the current flowing through a wire or conductor. The sensor uses the Hall-Effect principle, which involves the generation of a voltage across a conductor when a magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the current flow. This voltage is proportional to the current flowing through the conductor and can be measured to determine the current flow. The Hall-Effect current sensor breakout is a compact and easy-to-use device that can be easily integrated into electronic circuits or systems. It typically consists of a small circuit board with a Hall-Effect sensor, an amplifier, and an output circuit. The output of the sensor can be either analog or digital, and the sensor can be calibrated to provide accurate and reliable measurements over a wide range of currents. Hall-Effect current sensor breakouts are commonly used in a variety of applications, including power management, motor control, and energy monitoring, among others.

    Product arrived quickly

The product is just as described and works perfectly. The support team is really helpful. I had to make some changes to the code to get it to work with the Arduino Due, but the support team was very helpful. The product arrived quickly.
