The 2.9-inch E-Ink Display Module (B) offers a crisp 296×128 resolution and supports three colours – red, black, and white – making it an excellent choice for applications that require visual emphasis without sacrificing power efficiency. This SPI-based E-Paper display consumes ultra-low power, drawing current only during image updates and maintaining content indefinitely without a power supply. Thanks to its wide viewing angle and paper-like readability, the module is ideal for dynamic labeling, industrial instruments, smart tags, shelf displays, and more. Fully compatible with development platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32, this module is designed for easy integration in compact and portable embedded systems.

E-paper displays use microcapsule electrophoretic technology to display; the principle is that charged particles suspended in clear fluid move to the sides of the microcapsule when an electric field is applied, making the microcapsule visible by reflecting ambient light, just like traditional printed paper. E-paper displays will clearly display images/texts under lamplight or natural light, require no backlight, and have nearly a 180° viewing angle. It is commonly used as an e-reader because of its paper-like appearance.
