Description
This 4 Qwiic ports adapter adds additional ports to boards that have only one Qwiic port on their I2C bus. This multiport adapter can be used as a hub to add as many I2C devices to the bus as required. It can also use the board as an alternative to a daisy-chained configuration for multiple devices wired together in sequence or in a ring.
The board is a simple design that allows you to connect up to 4 devices to the I2C bus easily with the Qwiic Connect System. There are 4 Qwiic 4-pin 1mm pitch white female connectors populated on the board. There is an LED to indicate when power is available on the I2C bus.
STEMMA QT / Qwiic 4-pin 1mm Pitch White Female Connector Cable 150mm Long - Both Side can be purchased seperately.
Qwiic MultiPort Adapter Hardware Overview
Alternative to a Daisy Chained Configuration
The Qwiic MultiPort can also be used as a hub so that you do not have to place the board with one Qwiic connector at the end of the daisy chain for multiple devices wired together in sequence or in a ring.
A multi-port I2C communication breakout with 4 4-pin 1mm pitch female connectors and Qwiic compatibility is a type of I2C communication breakout board that provides multiple I2C ports for connecting multiple devices to a microcontroller or other electronic system. The breakout board typically features four 4-pin 1mm pitch female connectors that are designed to interface with I2C devices. The board also includes an I2C interface chip that translates the I2C protocol and supports all four I2C ports. The Qwiic compatibility of the board means that it can be easily integrated with other Qwiic-compatible boards and systems, making it a versatile and easy-to-use solution for I2C communication. The multi-port I2C communication breakout is commonly used in applications that require multiple I2C devices to be connected to a single microcontroller or other electronic system. The multiple ports provide flexibility in the design of the system, allowing different I2C devices to be connected to different ports. This type of breakout board is particularly useful in sensor networks and other applications where multiple sensors need to be connected to a single microcontroller or other electronic system.
The multi-port I2C communication breakout with 4 4-pin 1mm pitch female connectors and Qwiic compatibility is a versatile and efficient solution for I2C communication, providing flexibility and ease of use for a wide range of applications.
