Description
The M66 GSM/GPRS Bluetooth Hat for Raspberry Pi designed by 7Semi integrates Quectel's M66 which is a Quad-band GSM/GPRS engine that works at frequencies of GSM850MHz, EGSM900MHz, DCS1800MHz and PCS1900MHz. The M66 GSM/GPRS Bluetooth Hat offers 40 pin GPIO conecotor and is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi models that have the 40-pin GPIO header (4, 3, 2, B+, A+, Zero) and can be used standalone with PC/Laptop over micro-USB, without stacking with Raspberry Pi. The M66 features GPRS multi-slot class 12 and supports the GPRS coding schemes CS-1, CS-2, CS-3 and CS-4. The board features internet service protocols, such as TCP/UDP, FTP and PPP.
The M66 GSM/GPRS Hat is an expansion board designed for the Raspberry Pi that provides cellular connectivity via the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) networks. It is based on the Quectel M66 module, a high-performance quad-band GSM/GPRS module that supports voice, SMS, and data transmission. The Hat includes a SIM card slot, a micro USB port, and an external antenna connector. It also has an onboard regulator to provide stable power supply for the Raspberry Pi. The M66 GSM/GPRS Hat is an ideal solution for IoT projects, remote monitoring, and other applications that require wireless communication. It is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, 4 Model B, and Zero/Zero W.
The M66 module is known for its low power consumption and small form factor, making it an ideal choice for portable and embedded devices.
